Reading this site means accepting the terms below. They describe what our reports are, how they may be reused, and where our responsibility ends.
Everything published here is criticism. A score summarises a judgement formed across two complete playthroughs by a specific person on specific hardware, and reasonable readers will disagree with some of those judgements. Nothing on this site is a warranty about how any piece of software will behave in your configuration or during your session.
Recorded hour counts describe our playthroughs, not yours. They depend on skill, difficulty setting, patch version and how much of a game a player chooses to explore, all of which vary. Performance observations name the machines and builds tested at the time; software changes, and a figure accurate on one version may be void on the next.
Brief quotations in reviews, videos, articles and discussion are welcome provided the source is attributed to Second Save Bureau and the quotation is not edited so as to reverse its meaning. Reproducing a full report, translating one without permission, or using this site's text as training material for commercial machine learning systems is not permitted.
Scores may not be used in advertising, on storefront pages or in promotional material without written agreement. A number lifted out of a two-pass report loses the only context that makes it meaningful, and we treat that as a misuse of the work.
All illustrations, photographs and the site mark used here were produced for this publication and remain ours. Names of games, studios, publishers and hardware appearing in reports belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and critical commentary only. No affiliation with or endorsement by any of them is claimed or implied.
We sell nothing whatsoever. The bureau operates no shop, no subscription, no membership tier and no donation mechanism, and carries no advertising, which means there are no orders to place, no payments to make, no refunds to claim and no deliveries to expect. Anybody approaching you to transact business under our name is not us.
This site is provided as it stands. We do not undertake that it will always be reachable, that older reports will remain online indefinitely, or that every internal link will survive a future reorganisation. Reports may be revised, corrected, merged or withdrawn at editorial discretion.
So far as applicable law permits, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on anything published here, including purchases you later regret. A report is an input to your judgement and not a substitute for it.
A handful of reports point outward to resources we found useful. Those destinations belong to other people, we have no say in what they publish or whether they remain online, and the moment you arrive their rules replace ours entirely.
This page will change as the bureau does. Whatever text stands here at the moment you read it is the version in force, and reading on after a change means accepting the revised wording rather than one you may remember from an earlier visit.
Some jurisdictions grant readers protections that no document can sign away. Where that is so, those protections stand untouched by anything written above, and the rest of these terms apply only as far as local law allows them to.
